Sometimes the goodness and generosity of people just blows me away. A month ago, whilst teaching a workshop in Devon, the husband of one of my students dropped in on the workshop a couple of times, and became interested in some of my feltmaking tools.

I’ll be exhibiting some of my work in the above titled textiles exhibition at Green Hill Arts, Dartmoor’s leading art gallery, starting April 23rd

Sub-titled ‘a Celebration of Textiles’, the exhibition is curated by Veronica Gould and Yuli Somme (both textile workers in their own right), and earlier this month I welcomed them into my studio for a ‘guided tour’ and plenty of chat fuelled by tea.

Some of my masks went on show in London for the very first time, during Etsy UK: Four Corners of Craft. The exhibition took place from 24-27 September at the Truman Brewery, London.

Fortyfive designer makers who were hand picked from nearly 1,000 applications showcased a diverse and exciting selection of contemporary craft from the four corners our country, tied together by the quality of making.

It’s amazing, the places that a shared interest can lead you to: Aug 20th saw me flying out on my first ever, and much anticipated, visit to the States.

An invitation, two years of planning, and many, many emails back and forth, eventually finalized into a series of four workshops over a 4-week teaching tour of NE America.
